For the first time in nearly a month, the Bros were both in the same and proper time zone for the start of Sunday’s action in Week 9. And if there was any doubt as to Sean’s readiness to rumble after stepping off his 14-hour flight from Vietnam, he quickly put such thoughts to rest in correctly picking the week’s only split to trim a game off his deficit in the Surfy standings.

The Steelers have been good to the Junior Bro lately, accounting for a critical victory he needed last Sunday night in their loss to Green Bay, and again this week as they hosted the heavily favored Colts. Indy has been rolling behind a stout defense and the rejuvenated play of quarterback Daniel Jones. But it was Pittsburgh’s D that finally showed up Sunday and harassed Jones all game, forcing three interceptions and six turnovers that led to a 27-20 upset.

It was not the only one. Road teams won 10 of the 14 games, and home favorites fell in Detroit, Dallas and Green Bay. Denver edged Houston 18-15 in a battle of two of the league’s best defenses. And Chicago outlasted Cincinnati in a 47-42 thriller. In the most anticipated matchup of the weekend, Buffalo continued its dominance of Kansas City in the regular season, downing the Chiefs at home by a final of 28-21.

None of that mattered in the grand scheme of things, as Sean won the week with his 10-4 record, Glenn finished second at 9-5, and Ben took third at 8-6; King Chaos continues to lead the overall standings by 5 games over his dad. We all correctly picked Baltimore, New England, Chicago, L.A. Chargers and Rams, San Francisco, Denver and Jacksonville. Winners no one selected included Carolina, Minnesota and Arizona.
