During a week in which both Bros were hitting the road for parts unknown, and the games on the field were overshadowed by feuding over the president's unfiltered comments concerning ongoing player protests of the national anthem, it was easy to miss the fact that Week 3 in the NawFuL actually contained some meaningful football action. And for the first time this season, the Senior Bro notched a winning week.

It takes an upset-filled folly like this week to remind us that last week's near-perfect prognostications are the rare exception. Combine teams desperate to avoid an 0-3 start with the first of this year's London games, the distractions over President Trump's incendiary remarks at an Alabama rally, and some key division rivalries, and you have a recipe for unpredictability.

Glenn won a thriller to open the week when the Rams and 49ers combined for a Thursday record 80 points in L.A.'s 41-39 victory. He then swept a pair of Sunday morning splits when the Vikings downed a flu-stricken Buccaneers team, 34-17, and the Colts became one of four teams to get their first wins of the season when they held off the visiting Browns, 31-28. The Bears, Saints and Jets also won for the first time, each taking down previously undefeated and heavily favored opponents.

If Week 3 was the great equalizer between the have and have-nots of the league, it also proved to be an equalizer for the Surfy standings, which are now tied. Glenn gained three games while going 10-6. Ben went 9-7, drawing closer to the overall lead, while Sean finished at 7-9. We were all correct in picking winners Atlanta, New England, Green Bay, Kansas City and Dallas. Several upsets had us all fooled, as we missed winners Jacksonville, Buffalo, New Orleans, Chicago and Washington.
