Peaking at the right time is a critical aspect of sports. It doesn't matter how mediocre a season you've had if you manage to stay in the hunt and can close well. It's something that the New York Giants have done successfully in the past decade, which helped propel them to Stupor Bore titles in 2008 and 2012. (Well, that and playing the Patriots, perhaps.) It is also something the Senior Bro appears to be doing in 2016.

The Giants have been described as the team no one wants to face in the postseason. They have already derailed the likes of Baltimore and Dallas (twice.) Add to that list the Detroit Lions, who came to MetLife Stadium on Sunday on their own ascendant arc, both teams at 9-4. The Lions have been Glenn's Achilles heel for years, so when the Bros split the game, with the Junior Bro taking Detroit, it seemed a decent chance for Sean to close the gap in the Surfy standings.

Although the game remained close until a Giants touchdown broke it open in the fourth quarter, the best the Lions could do was muster a pair of field goals in a 17-6 defeat. A late drive that could have made a game of it stalled when Matthew Stafford was intercepted at the goal line. The result in the only split of the weekend gives the Senior Bro a 3-game lead with just two weeks to go.

Glenn enjoyed his third straight winning week, leading the pack with a 12-4 mark, and is currently two games ahead of the pace he set last season. Sean and Ben tied for second at 11-5. Our mutually correct predictions included Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Buffalo, Baltimore, Atlanta, Oakland and Pittsburgh. The only games we all missed were the wins of New Orleans and Carolina.
