It was Sean who celebrated his 40th birthday over the weekend, but Glenn appeared to be the one receiving the presents during a Week 6 rout that saw the Senior Bro reestablish a 6-game lead in the hunt for the Surfy trophy.

It was the first time since Sept. 27 that the Senior Bro had won a split, and he made up for the drought by sweeping three of them. It was Houston over Jacksonville, 31-20, in the early game Sunday. Then in the late action, the 49ers shook off their longtime curse against the Ravens to nab a 25-20 victory. No longer the "Bro Bowl" with the departure of former Niners coach Jim Harbaugh, the home team caught a lucky break mid-game when normally rock-solid Ravens kicker Justin Tucker shanked a field goal after stepping in a divot in the Levi's Stadium turf. Oops. Philadelphia's 27-7 win over the New York Giants on Monday night completed the sweep.

It was a week that will long be remembered for the "Deflategate II" rematch between the Patriots and Colts that included perhaps the dumbest fake punt attempt in the history of the NawFuL, when the Colts, in a close game, lined up in a bizarre illegal formation on 4th and 3 deep in their own territory and were dropped for a loss on a play that had zero chance of succeeding.

Glenn won the week with a 10-4 record, regaining all the ground he had lost in the previous two weeks. Sean and Ben tied for second at 7-7. Our mutually correct predictions included Cincinnati, Denver, Minnesota, Miami, Green Bay and New England. The three victors we all missed were New Orleans (knocking off previously unbeaten Atlanta), Detroit (picking up its first win of the season), and Carolina (staying unbeaten by winning at Seattle.)
