It took four weeks to do it, but the Junior Bro finally figured out how to gain ground in the Surfy standings for the first time this season, capturing the sole split game up for grabs on Sunday. On the first of the bye weeks which saw mostly clear-cut favorites on the abbreviated schedule, Sean found fortune in a divisional rivalry between a pair of NFC East foes.

Washington historically has been one of the Junior Bro's best teams, and when it came time for the Redskins to host the struggling Eagles, Sean went with the home team. The 'Skins opened up at 13-point lead before Philadelphia managed to tie it early in the third quarter and grabbed a 4-point lead late in the game. That was until Washington mounted an 80-yard touchdown drive to regain the advantage and then intercepted the Eagles on their last desperate effort to get into field goal range. The 23-20 victory helped reduce the Senior Bro's overall Gehlke Bros. Football lead to 5 games.

Sean wound up 11-4, which was good enough for second place. That was because Ben put together a 12-3 mark — his best of the season — to lead the pack. Glenn was third with a 10-5 mark. In a week of predictability, we all correctly guessed winners Baltimore, New York Jets, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, San Diego, Denver, Green Bay and Seattle. The only game we all got wrong was Arizona's upset home loss against St. Louis.
