There often comes a point in a Gehlke Bros. Football season when it is less important to win the week than it is to not lose it, and that is where the Senior Bro finds himself as we head into the home stretch of the 2015 campaign.

For the second week in a row Sean grabbed an early advantage by winning a Thursday night split, with Jacksonville's 19-13 victory over Tennessee. It was his fourth split victory in five opportunities. It also provided a start similar to last weekend when the Junior Bro managed to whittle a game off Glenn's significant lead, and he hoped for a repeat. Sunday found the Bros adding five more splits to the Week 11 action, with Glenn needing to win three of them to avoid losing more ground.

Four of the split games took place in the morning. Sean got a huge boost when his Colts behind backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck overcame a 14-point deficit to pull off a 24-21 win in Atlanta. He also got help from the Cowboys, who snapped a 7-game losing streak at Miami on the day Tony Romo returned to the lineup. With three splits in the win column, he needed just one more to put a serious dent in his brother's 8-game lead. But on this week, the Colts weren't the only ones without Luck on their side.

Glenn's potentially risky pick of Detroit over visiting Oakland paid off when the Lions survived themselves for an 18-13 win. And in a showdown of teams headed in opposite directions, Houston pulled away in the third quarter then hung on for a 24-17 win at home over the stumbling Jets. That set up the final split of the day, a huge NFC North showdown between the Vikings and the reeling Packers.

Green Bay had pundits scratching their heads by losing three in a row after a 6-0 run to start the season, while Minnesota has appeared to be peaking, taking over the division lead last week with a 7-2 record. But the Packers have dominated the Vikings in recent years, and while they weren't exactly dominant on Sunday, Aaron Rodgers had a solid day and the team pulled off a 30-13 win. For the Senior Bro, it meant preserving an 8-game lead — just the second time this season that the Bros have ended the week in a tie.

Glenn and Sean compiled 9-5 records for a share of first place. Meanwhile, Ben suffered through his second straight 4-10 week, leaving him 16 games off his dad's pace and 8 games down to his uncle in the overall standings. The four teams the Chaos Kid picked correctly were the same ones we all got right: Baltimore, Seattle, Arizona and New England. We all missed out on the wins of Denver (without Peyton Manning) and Tampa Bay (with Jameis Winston's 5 touchdowns).
