It's starting to look like God is on Tim Tebow's side after all. If not the Almighty himself, then the deity of the gridiron, at least. After another wild come-from-behind finish in which the Broncos put up 10 points in the final two minutes of regulation to beat the Bears in overtime, Tebow's team has ascended to the top of its division and is in control of its playoff destiny after overcoming an abysmal 2-5 start to the season.
The same might be said for the Junior Bro, who notched another game on his Gehlke Bros. Football season lead Sunday and now seems destined to regain control of the Surfy Trophy. After two weeks of watching his lead over the Senior Bro erode, Sean got the benefit of a two-out-of-three performance in Week 14. All three contests were close.
Fate smiled on Glenn initially when Houston came from behind to beat host Cincinnati, 20-19, on a last-second touchdown. But it was Sean who got the last laugh when Atlanta overcame a 16-point second-half deficit for a 31-23 victory, and then a Houston-esque rally by Tennessee fell short on the final play of the game to lift New Orleans to a 22-17 win. Glenn had little room for error coming into the week, and his 6-game deficit with just three weeks to play may now be insurmountable.
Sean soared on his angels' wings to a 12-4 record to win the week, while Glenn and Ben tied for runner-up at 11-5. We cumulatively predicted the wins of Pittsburg, Detroit, Green Bay, New England, Baltimore, the N.Y. Jets, Denver, San Diego and Seattle. The football gods worked in mysterious ways as winners Jacksonville, Philadelphia and Arizona evaded our predictive capabilities.
