NawFuL plotmakers write an upsetting chapter

It's too bad the Hollywood writers are on strike right now, because we could use their talents to recreate the sob story that was Week 10 of the Gehlke Bros. Football season. There was a happy ending for the Junior Bro, but it came only following a bloodbath that saw favorites fall and the accuracy of our prognosticating abilities take a severe hit.

The Bros had just a single split on the schedule, and it was Sean's good fortune to be pulling for the visitors from Dallas when they wore out the home N.Y. Giants. The victory gives Sean a 5-game lead in the standings, his largest to date.

But it was all the missed opportunities that will haunt the Junior and Senior Bros after this weekend. Home was definitely not sweet, as the lowly Rams got their first victory of the season down in New Orleans, and the likes of Cincinnati, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Chicago and a few others knocked off their obliging hosts.

Thanks to his often unconventional approach, Ben captured the week's best record in a big way. He was a solid 9-5, while Sean was 6-8 and Glenn went 5-9. With nine teams winning on the road, there were plenty of upsets to destroy our collective accuracy. Somehow we all were correct in predicting winners Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Chicago and Seattle. But we all missed with Tennessee, Baltimore and Indianapolis... (Hey, that's two losses in a row for the previously undefeated Stupor Bore champs.)
